The Staff Selection Commission exams are conducted to recruit candidates in Group B and Group C positions for departments, ministries, and organizations in the government of India. The exam takes place once a year and is executed in both Hindi and English language.

The exam is conducted in four stages also called tiers.
Tier- 4 is a Computer proficiency skill test.

SSC CGL Exam Syllabus
The SSC CGL majorly covers topics related to the 10th and 12th grade. The syllabus for the CGL Exam varies with respect to the Tiers.
Tier I:- Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language & comprehension.
Tier II:- Quantitative Aptitude, General Studies (Finance & Economics) English Language & Comprehension, Statistics,
Tier III:- To evaluate a candidate’s language skills in English or Hindi, this exam takes place offline. This is only for candidates appearing for Statistical Investigator (Grade II) & Compiler.
Tier IV:-After clearing the three tiers, this test examines the data entry speed test (DEST) & computer proficiency test (CPT) followed by document verification.
